Christine Wallers, currently living in Chicago, focuses upon light and how certain materials project and transmit light phenomena through architectural space. Sea Level is comprised of thousands of fine gauge wires, stretched parallel to the floor at three separate levels to form a three-dimensional plane floating just above the surface. Reflected light travels along the wires, vanishing and reappearing with the shifting natural conditions of the space and the position of the viewer. Catalogue, essay by Susan Rosenberg.
