The Los Angeles sculptor fabricated an architectural chamber of translucent wall membranes and interconnected banisters floating overhead. This central structure is the visual equivalent of a massively oversized illuminated jewelry box that cannot be accessed except by visually navigating the twists of the rails floating high above. Juxtaposed are two display cases housing discrete objects, underscoring the processes of memory through which we use objects to reconstruct the past in our imagination. Catalogue, essay by Bruna Mori.
